Stories that transform

When one tells their story in a raw narrative form, it connects to the soul of another. Raw stories linger on in the mind, provoking and transforming one’s views on the themes in the narrative. A personal example is the raw narrative, with which Viktor Frankl tells his story. I have read his book, A Man’s Search for Meaning, more than twice. Each time i read his book, i ponder more deeply the lessons that manifest from his experience in a concentration camp. What other books are out there in which the author does not hold anything back while narrating their story? I would appreciate recommendations.
