I truly recommend this book titled “Deep Work” by Cal Newport. This book describes deep work as “professional activities performed in a state of distraction-free concentration.” These activities push your cognitive capabilities to their limit. These efforts create new value, improve your skill, and are hard to replicate”. The psychiatrist Carl Jung built a tower out of stone in the woods. He aimed to promote deep work in his professional life. It took him away from immediate pursuits. I read the most part of this book, seated by a river, a perfect setting for deep work. When I retreat into nature, my mind is rejuvenated and my creativity is boosted. I fully understand and experience what the author means when he describes deep work as valuable, rare and meaningful. Dear reader, How do you feel when you retreat into nature to study or meditate?
